"Les Hautes Terres" is a territory within the Cantal, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Not only is it partly inside the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park, it also covers a portion of the Alagnon valley and a segment of the Cézallier mounts. Characterized by its steep landforms and its deep valleys, it offers a natural and cultural patrimony unlike any other which leaves no visitor feeling indifferent.
This magazine entitled Destination Hautes Terres Tourisme Volcan Cantal was conceptualized and layouted with the ambition to highlight this unique heritage. More than a guide, this travel companion and its 74 pages filled with all manners of tips was the result of a collaboration with the team of Hautes Terres Tourism and its assistant director, Anne-Julie Loubradou.
To emphasize this territory's identity, a clear yet elegant editorial direction was established. The photographs are put in the spotlight thanks to a modern and efficient layout. Every now and then, an illustration punctuates the reading of this adventure throughout the Hautes Terres.
So dig in, and stroll through the Mounts of Cantal. Lose yourself in the greatness of the Puy Mary, Grand Site de France. Go in search of the many villages of the region and let yourself be charmed by their singular architectural heritage. Listen to the gentle humming of the waterfalls and brooks which shape these landscapes, from Laveissière to Auriac-L'Église. Come meet the local talents who inhabit the Hautes Terres and take the time to discover the regional gastronomy such as Massiac's macaron or the "Cornet de Murat".
